A Baywatch Short-Haired Chick Friday???
What? Baywatch? Short-Haired Chick Friday? These two things seem to be in conflict.

Luckily Baywatch was an equal opportunity employer. Never really watched the show, but when I did there was one girl I enjoyed watching. The one with the small boobs that looked like she could actually save your life.

The triathalete, Alexandra Paul. She looks good doesn't she?

I like a good jaw on a woman.

Damn. That is a lot of teeth. The better to gnaw through the safety-belt on your crashed cigarrette boat. Boat safer next time!!! How many times must we tell you??!

A little younger in this next one.

I guess you get that jaw from working your ass off to have 1% body fat.

She's built, yet wears flowery dresses. In other words, PERFECT. A lot of people would say that you might as well fuck a guy, and those lot of people all thought Linda Hamilton was hot in Terminator 2.

Nice. Girls that strong don't wear easily in bed and can get in all kinds of kooky positions.

That's right Alexandra, Doc-Martin-punk that shit up.

Oh wait, what's this? Headed to the mountains are we Alexandra?

Flowers? For me, why thank you 80's Alexandra with the New Wave porn punk coiff.

Hey look, it's every hot girl at Myrtle Beach in 1985.

Alexandra Paul, again, don't know shit about her. But that's not really what this is about is it?

The True Story of George Reeves
The True Story of George Reeves
I've been waiting a long time for this movie as well, L.A. Confidential meets Sueprman I guess DC comics won't let them use the Superman logo though, so he will have a blank chest in the scenes where he plays Superman. What a cool role for Affleck, I mean, he gets to play Superman, but in a much more interesting role.
See, that the other thing about Hollywood, I love it's history. I really think I would enjoy living there. It's plenty sad, but so is the St. Valentines Day Massacre.
Superman Has Returned
After much watching of The Adventures of Superman, the Superboy tv show, Superman I, Superman II, Superman IV (I couldn't find III and I'm okay with that), The Hulk, Daredevil (the director's cut is so fucking good) and Batman Begins I felt ready to go see Superman Return. I'll have my whole review later today, but the bottom line is I loved it. Considering the incarnations of Superman they tried to float for the remount of the character over the last ten years with all the BLACK costumes and armor and Supermen who don't fly and Supermen who's "S" turns into fighting knives, not only having just plain old un-fucked-with Superman is a radical move, having it be such an homage to one single version of the character (The Richard Donner Superman) is incredibly radical and the thing of dreams to a young dreamer who started dreaming when Lois asked "you've got me, who's got you?"
These are the films I was born to make, or at least Moon Knight, or at least my version of Clerks, or at least...something.
I'm a bad blogger
I'm a bit of a bad blogger right now because I'm freaking out because I don't have a job and I really hate not having a job. But I've got my apparatus down, I'm now a resume sending machine and Justin and a friend of his hooked me up with a very nice temp agency and I've got another agency I'm signing up with on Monday. Some pretty respectable jobs. I'm trying to get a temp gig at a marketing firm because I'd like to work my way up into their video, editing, and graphics departments. Should've thought of that years ago but I don't think I was officially an adult until a couple weeks ago.
But I'm still thinking of L.A., always thinking of L.A. I'm practically living there in my mind right now. I'd like to grab a job as an Executive Assistant while I'm temping just to have the experience to take to L.A. Now those are some Executives to assist, I'd take a couple rounds with a Swimming With Sharks Kevin Spacey prick. Who cares? Everything that's not your life's purpose is degrading anyway. As Booger once said while playing a guy that's not Booger in another movie: "Sometimes you just gotta say 'what the fuck?'"

What the hell have I done?
I am in such crisis mode. I can't get anything done. The depression hormones are pumping away. I'm completely lost.
And I had such promise.
What they hell do I do? My mind is all over the place. I can't keep a thought straight. In my continuing addiction to life-threatening random decisions I quit my job which put me thousands of dollars in debt working for what I thought was the right cause. Now I am jobless with no savings looking up clerical and sales jobs, ugh, I feel so worthless, like I'm not good at anything. The problem is the things I'm good at don't pay, well, don't pay me. That is an amazing thing to wake up to at 33. What have I been doing for ten years, have I worked towards nothing? That is not a slight to the amazing accomplishments of the group I'm a part of who's site you're reading right now, our accomplishments are pretty friggin' impressive IMHO and it's a long list on the "creative" resume. But in that pure, granite, job-search-worth, it's nothing. Human life is priceless, but the actual worth of the compounds comes out to a few bucks. That's what I'm talking about. I'm a great writer, but I don't know what to do with that piece of information. I've not proven it in a marketable way. What good's talent if you can't prove it? I couldn't even get an agent because I don't have a solo screenwriting credit on any of my great screenplays.
I'm a great producer (especially when it comes to development)...can't prove it though. Great director, haven't really proved it. Editing, that's one thing I can kinda prove I'm good at. I'm working on my editing reel right now. I just talked to a friend in L.A. who has to turn down editing jobs all the time, he told me to come out there. I guess there's more demand for editors and crew in L.A. than there is in Chicago, who'd've guessed? Is it guaranteed I'll get work? No, not right away. But I bet year-round 80degree weather makes temping go down easier. Temp? or Temp in L.A. with an occasional Editing gig? This is where my mind's been. Last February I told everyone I knew that I was moving to L.A., don't know why I did that, but I theorize it's so that I would.
I made that snap decision to quit that job with no backup plan for some fucking reason. And I intend to find out why.
Sorry for the odd tone of this post, but fuck it, it's where I'm at. I feel better now that it's out of my system. Now I've got 100 jobs to apply for.
And a Daily Moon Knight to post,

The Future of Viral
Is faking shit like this.
The future could be yours for a high-speed internet connection, Final Cut Pro, and a hit of LSD.

Saturday Morning Cartoons
From my VIDEO to my RADIO! It's too bad we used so much synth guitar solo in the 80's, I guess we used it all up.
The Christopher Reeve depiction of Superman is actually NOT the best, this is (this statement made before seeing Superman Returns Sunday at 2:30 at the Evanston theatres.
Remember when mankind invented holography and w had to create a toy to exxploit it? I had the shit out of these toys, they SUCKED. In the mythology of the cartoon you had to say a certain phrase to use your Holographic powers and I believed that you had to say the phrase when playing with the toys. My cousin thought this was gay and we played Marvel Superheroes Role Playing Game Instead.
A) Watch the first second of this clip and note the look of the kid onscreen during the voiceover about fall fashion.
B) This cartoon still rocks.
C) Why the fuck would they make a Dungeons and Dragons movie and not use this concept and these characters? Then again there is the Marlon Wayans rule, he has to be in movies.
One To Grow On, burned into my brain forever.
