Like 25 Pegaditas For Chokolate

25pegaditasweb

I keep seeing this ad on the sides of buses. I'm fascinated with Hispanic versions of shock jocks, because the shock jock formula as practiced by Howard Stern ripoffs is pretty easily pegged. The matrix of crafting a shock jock show doesn't take too much time in the jump program - so to speak. So when I see these ad's I can *guess* what the joke is, not because I speak Spanish but because I speak bad-comedy, but I don't REALLY get it because it's an in-joke within the program. So when I see one of these ads there's this pull between emotions that makes me feel like that parent that doesn't understand your lingo but knows whatever it is is dirty.

I don't know what you kids are talking about but stop it.

Just because I don't understand that doesn't mean I don't know that it's dirty, so you just stop right now.

Incidentally, have you been to the Chokolate page on their website, just listen to sound on that page, it may be the funniest two minutes of your week.

Sarah and I went to his site a while ago and she translated his bio page for me - all it does is talk about what a classy guy he is. Loves to give red roses to the ladies. He's shy.

This was in the newspaper this morning. Adam, you accidentally are timely.

*Miguel Silva, the WLEY-FM (107.9) morning personality known as "El Chokolate," has been off the air cooling his heels. Bosses of the Spanish Broadcasting System regional Mexican station suspended him indefinitely after he failed to show up one day last week.

No word yet on if or when he'll ever return to "La Ley."

What a lame way for a shock jock to get taken off the air, not showing up to work. That's more of a way to get fired from Ernst & Young. I WAs TOO EDGY FOR THEM!

Let's hear it for accidental timeliness, the only timeliness I know.

Didn't you get fired from Princess Theaters for being late? I remember you saying it was a good thing so you could stay up all night working belldesk and watching good movies, as opposed to eating tons of popcorn for the 2nd rate stuff. My best memory of the princess was taking Joe Hinton's sister Rose there on a date. The movie we saw? "Seven". Classic. Afterwords we went to Jimmies and she drank me under the table.

Oh, and the time I took Walter Huber to see "Volcano".
